I hope you all had a wonderful spring break with your children! We are excited to have the students back in the building this week and to share with them all there is to learn about spring and farms!
As technology becomes an integral part of our daily lives, it's important to ensure that our preschoolers use it in a way that supports their growth and development. While screens can offer educational benefits, balance and moderation are key.
Guidelines for Healthy Technology Use:
- Limit Screen Time: The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no more than one hour of high-quality screen time per day for children aged 2 to 5.
- Choose Educational Content: Opt for age-appropriate, interactive, and educational programs or apps that promote learning.
- Engage Together: Co-view and discuss what your child is watching or playing to enhance understanding and connection.
- Encourage Active Play: Balance screen time with outdoor activities, hands-on learning, and creative play.
- Set a Routine: Establish screen-free times, such as during meals and before bedtime, to promote healthier habits.
Tech Tips for Parents:
- Use parental controls to filter content and set limits.
- Model healthy screen habits by demonstrating balanced technology use.
- Encourage conversation about what your child watches and learns.

Reminders and important dates:
- Drop for preschool is from 8 am till 8:15 am. Pick up is at 2:55 pm. If how your child is picked would change during the day, please let the office know by 2:30 pm. Dropping off your child on time helps your child start their day off on a great foot.
- April 7 and 8 - Kindergarten Screenings for all incoming ICD kindergarteners .
- April 22 - Parents ONLY meeting for parents of students who will be attending our 3 year old preschool program next year.
- May 4 - All 4 year old preschool students are invited to join us at 10:15 Mass where they will receive a special blessing and sing Immaculate Mary.
- May 15 - End of the year Preschool Program for all 4 year old preschool students (5:30 start for MWF classes and 7:00 start for M-F classes)
