This week, our school community came together on Tuesday afternoon to pray the Rosary. It was a beautiful sight to see our students, led by our 8th graders, participate in this prayer and honor Mary. These moments of shared faith and community are so important for our children.
As Catholics, we dedicate the month of October to the Holy Rosary, which provides a wonderful opportunity for families to pray together. Praying the Rosary as a family is a great way for children to learn about Jesus's life and his love for us. I encourage you to consider setting aside time to pray the Rosary together at home. It's a meaningful and rewarding experience that can bring your family closer to God.
Here are some ideas to help you pray the Rosary as family:
- Start small: Begin with one decade a night
- Give everyone a job. Let your children lead the prayers.
- Give each child their own rosary
- Create a prayer space

Pet Blessing: Students may bring a stuffed animal that fits in their backpack to school to have blessed for the Feast of St. Francis Assisi. 4 year olds will have their pet blessing on Wednesday, Oct. 16. 3 year olds will have their pet blessing on Thursday, Oct. 17.
It’s getting chilly!! Please remember to send your child with a jacket each day and remember to label it with your child’s name.
As a reminder: if you have a child at home who will be eligible for preschool next year, please complete an intention form by Dec. 31 regardless of parishioner status. Intention forms received after December 31st will be automatically wait-listed.This will allow us to include your family in the registration process which will be opening in early February. To be eligible for preschool for the 2024/2025 school year, students must be 3 on or before July 31, 2025 for the 3 year old program and 4 on or before July 31, 2025 for a 4 year old program.
